About the Garms Family

Great Adventure Family Ministries, LLC is an outreach of the Garms family, consisting of David and Kris Garms and their six of eight children. We strive to encourage people to live the Word through presenting gospel music with our voices, instruments, and message. Great Adventure Gospel Band, our family singing group, loves to bring gospel music to people. To learn more about us and how to support our ministry, please visit our website.

Dad and Mom

Dad and Mom
The best parents in the world who love the Lord and love their family. Dad (mainly) plays guitar, sings lead/baritone, and is the group emcee. Mom plays bass and piano, sings alto, and holds us together!

Ben

Ben
21 year-old Ben is the key instrumentalist (guitar, banjo, bass, whatever!) for the group, and also sings bass. He started FOGMA and loves sound design and engineering. (Click on the link to go to his website.) He is known for his huge smile and love for the Lord.

Taylor

Taylor
Graphic designing, art, writing, and a passion for the next generation describes 19-year old Taylor. She plays mandolin, fiddle, and piano and sings soprano, and is also the groups' IT/camera/blog person. Taylor also runs a ministry for young women called Godly Girlhood (click on the photo) and wants to seek after the Lord with her whole heart.

Leesha

Leesha
She is quiet, yet can say much through her poetry and writing; she plays dobro, but wants to learn bass :); she loves to sing, but never expected to sing for thousands of people. This is 17-year old Leesha, who loves children and animals, and desires to be like her Lord. Visit her website (by clicking on her photo) for animal lovers.

Sam

Sam
Sam's deep thoughts and amazing creations always surprise us; God has given this 12-year old a great mind. Sam, the groups' drummer, harmonica player, and singer, is a bookworm and spends much of time thinking of amazing things. He is a great entertainer and a wise-crack. :)

Jayme

Jayme
This young 10-year old with a tender, caring heart and infectious giggle will bless you. Jayme is on her way to being a vocal prowess and shows great ability with her fiddle. Jayme enjoys playing with our cats and doodling.

Caleb

Caleb
When Caleb sings and plays, everybody will enjoy his performance and growing talents. Eight-year old Caleb sings and plays guitar, ukulele, harmonica, and wants to learn every other instrument as well! As a typical boy, Caleb is thrilled with cars and sports, and tagging along with his big siblings.

The Whole Family

The Whole Family
Also in our family are Whitney (25) and Uli (18); Whitney is currently living in Wisconsin, and Uli is at a different foster home. We truly love them and enjoy their beautiful presence in our lives.

And Our Friend Mal

And Our Friend Mal
Mal is the 87-year old man who lives with us and who can't live without cats! :) He blesses us with his stories and generous heart. Click on the photo for the entire story of Mal.
